The Retainer Agreement is a binding contract between you and the attorney you chose to represent you for the purpose of your action. The retainer details the obligations of the attorney regarding the nature of services that the attorney is contracting to provide you with, the required retainer payment, the hourly rate that the attorney will charge you, what type of activities the hourly rates will be applied to, billing, fee disputes, the client's responsibility for payment of bills, and the client's rights to withdraw counsel's representation. The client has a right to review the retainer agreement and discuss any questions they may have with the attorney prior to the signing of the retainer agreement and free of charge.
